Discovery: New ways to sing it…

You know someone owns the rights to Happy Birthday. That means every time you sing it, someone is supposed to make some pennies from it. They can’t yet make us pay ASCAP fees in our homes, but this is the reason we have goofy versions of the song sung to us by bored waitstaff at restaurants.

The Free Music Archive has a collection of more than a hundred new ways to wish family and friends a happy birthday. They were even kind enough to create a set of winners in case you don’t want to listen to all the joyous natal day singing. Plus, a great joy to my Creative Commons loving heart, all the songs are Creative Commons licensed.
